Broadway Law Group was established in 1993 as an association of independent lawyers in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our lawyers are experienced and have honed their skills in our many areas of specialty. They are:
Michael Lazar
Michael Lazar has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba (1978) and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law (1982). He was admitted to the Bar of New York State in 1983 and the Manitoba Bar in 1984. After practising law with Manly Israel & Associates and Pandya Davis Lazar & Boonov, Michael joined Broadway Law Group in March of 2000.
Michael has served as Chair of the League for Human Rights, Vice President of Community Relations of the Winnipeg Jewish Community Council (Jewish Federation of Winnipeg), Vice President of the Rady Jewish Community Centre, and as a founding board member of the Manitoba Ethnocultural Advocacy and Advisory Council (MEAAC). He has been a speaker for the City of Winnipeg Community Relations Committee, and has lectured on Criminal Law for the Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) for many years. In 2003, Michael was awarded the Queen Elizabeth ll Golden Jubilee Medal.
Michael's preferred areas of practice include criminal law, child protection (Child & Family Services), family law, and real estate.
Midori Adachi
Midori Adachi graduated Tokyo Aoyama Gakuin University in Japan with the Bachelor of Law degree in 1996. She obtained a two year full tuition scholarship for the University of Manitoba’s Master of Law program in 1998 and completed the LLM program in 2000. She then enrolled in the Bachelor of Law program at the University of Manitoba in 2002 with one year advance standing and graduated in 2004. After articling with Wilder, Wilder and Langry LLP, she was enrolled to the Bar in 2005 and joined Booth Dennehy LLP as a junior associate. She has been affiliated with Broadway Law Group since 2008.
Midori Adachi’s primary practice is the area of commercial and residential real estate and wills and estates.
