Broadway Law Group was established in 1993 as an association of independent lawyers in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our lawyers are experienced and have honed their skills in our many areas of specialty. They are:
Chris Fulmyk was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1982 and has been practising law ever since. I currently practise in the areas of:
1. Wills and Estates – preparation of wills; assisting executors in applying for probate; administering estates, including contested estate matters
2. Real Estate – buying and selling of homes and commercial properties; refinancing mortgages
3. Civil Litigation – contract disputes and debt collection
All services are provided by contract with a lawyer, namely myself, not a secretary, paralegal or junior lawyer. I provide legal services in Polish and English. I have made a business and personal decision not to use email in my practice. Please contact me by telephone, fax or mail.
Michael Lazar has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba (1978) and a Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law (1982). He was admitted to the Bar of New York State in 1983 and the Manitoba Bar in 1984. After practising law with Manly Israel & Associates and Pandya Davis Lazar & Boonov, Michael joined Broadway Law Group in March of 2000.
Michael has served as Chair of the League for Human Rights, Vice President of Community Relations of the Winnipeg Jewish Community Council (Jewish Federation of Winnipeg), Vice President of the Rady Jewish Community Centre, and as a founding board member of the Manitoba Ethnocultural Advocacy and Advisory Council (MEAAC). He has been a speaker for the City of Winnipeg Community Relations Committee, and has lectured on Criminal Law for the Community Legal Education Association (CLEA) for many years. In 2003, Michael was awarded the Queen Elizabeth ll Golden Jubilee Medal.
Michael's preferred areas of practice include criminal law, child protection (Child & Family Services), family law, and real estate.
Midori Adachi graduated from Tokyo Aoyama Gakuin University (in Japan) with the Bachelor of Law degree in 1996. She moved to Canada and, with a two-year full tuition scholarship, enrolled in the University of Manitoba’s Master of Law program and completed the LL.M program in 2000. She then enrolled in the Bachelor of Law program at the University of Manitoba in 2002 with one year advanced standing and graduated in 2004. After articling with Wilder Wilder and Langtry LLP, she was called to the Bar in 2005 and joined Booth Dennehy LLP as a junior associate. She has been affiliated with Broadway Law Group since 2008.
Midori Adachi’s primary practice is in the area of commercial and residential real estate and wills and estates.
Sharon Maltz attended the University of Manitoba for both undergraduate courses and law school and was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1986. She practises primarily in the area of family law, which includes separation, divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, division of family property, and adoption. She also practises in the areas of wills and estates and real estate. Sharon has been affiliated with Broadway Law Group since 2001.
Sharon has many community involvements, and has served as board member for a local women's organization and for a local daycare. She has served as both secretary and chair for the Parent Advisory Council for her children's school. She is proud to be a member of a dragon boat team.
